Lorraine Cavanagh, author of Mediterranean Garden Plants and Citrus, The Zest of Life was born in the cold, windswept (but warm-hearted) North East of England and, having spent most of her formative years in Africa, moving to Spain was a logical progression. Andalucia, and her people have, over more than 30 years, won her heart and enabled her to form a well-loved home, bring up a family and set up in business.
Thoroughly 'rooted' into the plant word by her grandfather she had a passion for plants and had owned a very special plant nursery for over 15 years specialising in plants suitable to the Mediterranean climate. This led to requests for advice on planning, planting and landscape design resulting in the landscaping 'limb' of the Garden Centre.
Her book, Mediterranean Garden Plants, was born of queries from clients, customers and friends over the years, formatted and compiled into what is affectionately known as the ''bible' of Mediterranean plants.
Radio work, garden club talks and lots of feature writing for newspapers and magazines quickly followed. Her greatest satisfaction was that she was able to combine her greatest loves together - family and plants. Daughters, Madeleine and Grace, and even grand-daughter, Ainhoa, have all been 'grafted' into the business - a true family affair and love affair - and it shows!

Toss over ideas together, anything from selecting a single plant to designing and planning an entire garden.
Landscaping Service: Don't forget that we can offer a full landscaping service too with our own artisanal builders. Have a look at our landscaping page for some inspiration - walls, paving, patios, pergolas, steps, water features and swimming pools. Fuly detailed quotes are provided. Or, if you just need some advice, Lorraine offers a personal consultation service at your garden. We work throughout Andalucía, the Costa del Sol and neighbouring provinces. A Huge Variety of Plants: We have an enormous range of plants - and that's not a careless boast. Common or garden rarities, we've probably got it in stock and, if we haven't, we'll really try to find it for you. Our customers are many and far flung - and they keep coming back to us.
We're Organic and Green: We only sell green products - because we believe in them! We stock neem oil, the natural insecticide and fungicide, guano to fertilise and citronella to keep those pests away! Our soils, fertilisers and composts, too, are 100% organic. We're caring - are you?
Order Your Plants: We know that many of you don't live here permanently. Often you can only make brief visits and your time is tight. You want to plant and arrive knowing that you can collect all your plants without waiting/searching. Just let us know your requirements, we'll let you have prices and we'll have all your plants here ready and waiting for you.
